Who doesn't love hamburgers? Almost anyone in the world knows what a hamburger is. Good news for all who are seriously craving for this delicious food. The News Observer reported that one of the best burgers in town will be competing in the World Championships from November 3 to 10 this year.
The co-owner of the Corner Tavern and Grill in Cary, Samir Mohammadi confirmed this information to be true. He said he will prepare the corner burger which is the mixture of the three top selling hamburger restaurants in the country. His burger won first prize during the regional competition which was held last October 17. The Corner Tavern and Grill offers 10 different burger options, including the Bacon and Cheddar Burger and Mushroom and Swiss Burger.
Mohammadi prepared his ingredients including chunks of fresh avocados with melted pepper jack cheese on top of it. The sizzling burger patty is then sprinkled with Morrocan spices and drizzled with homemade cilantro aioli. He then finishes everything off for his new mouth-watering creation with caramelized pineapple to add a sweet and tangy taste.
The World Food Championships will be on November 3 in Kissimmee; FL. Mohammadi will prepare his creation which he calls Corner Burger, the mixture of three restaurant's most popular burgers. The contest has a grand prize of $100,000.
He said that what makes the burger special is the mixture of flavors like sweetness and hotness that can make anyone who will taste it get lost in the flavors. His restaurant qualified for the World Food Championship last October 17 after they won the 2015 Bull Burger Battle which was hosted by Bull Outdoor Products at the Choice Pool and Spa. The contest was one of the six regional best burger contests held all over the country.
He will compete against 45 other competitors for the burger competition. There will be nine other food categories all in all including desert, barbeque and more. He said that the winner of the category will get $10,000 and will move on to the bigger table for a chance to win $100,000. If given a chance to win the competition, he said he would like to use the price to expand his business and possible even get a food truck.
