It's been nearly four decades since Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher's daughter became a superstar in her own right after Carrie Fisher's "Star Wars" debut, and while the original trilogy helped her build a long career in Hollywood, she still has a few regrets from the time - and she's passing on that knowledge!
With the release of the latest Carrie Fisher "Star Wars" appearance, "The Force Awakens," less than two months away, the star will be increasingly in the spotlight for the next few weeks, and the famously outspoken actress won't be kept quiet as she advises co-star Daisy Riley about her time in the franchise.
According to People Magazine, with the release of the seventh part of George Lucas' tale getting nearer every day, Carrie Fisher's "Star Wars" appearances are in full force, and recently she interviewed 23 year-old newcomer Riley about her time in the franchise and even costume choices.
"Don't be a slave like I was... You keep fighting against that slave outfit," went Carrie Fisher's "Star Wars" advice to Riley, as the two spoke for Interview Magazine. "It's hard to date once you're a big Star Wars star because you don't want to give people the ability to say, 'I had sex with Princess Leia.' Oh, you're going to have people have fantasies about you! That will make you uncomfortable, I'm guessing," 59 year-old Fisher added.
Of course, Fisher was referring particularly about the famous Princess Leia slave bikini from "Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi," which has turned into a major fantasy for over 30 years, including a famous "Friends" episode where Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel dons the outfit for David Schwimmer's Ross.
Variety reports that, during the Carrie Fisher "Star Wars" interview, Riley admitted the actress had always been her role model on set, even more than Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, calling the star a "kick-ass woman" who "paved the way for all the girls."
There will surely be more Carrie Fisher "Star Wars" updates as weeks go by!
