Lindsay Lohan’s Family: Brother Michael Lohan Jr. Arrested In NYC Over Forged Parking Placard, Actress’ Family Making Infamous Headlines Again

Time and again, the actress who started out in the 1990s remake "The Parent Trap" and Lindsay Lohan's family have been making headlines, whether it is for Lindsay's erratic behavior or her close family member's problems with the law - and now, brother Michael's adding one to the list.

A few months after the 29 year-old actress got in trouble with the law once again over reportedly cheating on her community service sheet (counting time spent with fans as community service, for example), now it's Lindsay Lohan's family on the news, as her younger brother, Michael, was recently arrested for forging a New York State government parking placard.

According to E! Online's latest Lindsay Lohan family news, Michael Jr. was detained last Thursday on Manhattan after a New York State Police investigation on him; in a department statement, the police said Michael had used a forged parking placard reading "Official Business" with the NYS seal - to avoid paying a parking meter, seemingly.

InTouch Weekly reports that the member of Lindsay Lohan's family had a 2015 Audi parked on a metered zone right outside his Manhattan apartment building, and when asked by police he was unable to produce any proof that he had any affiliation with New York State's Executive Branch, which prompted his arrest; the charges are criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree and criminal impersonation in the second degree.

Michael Jr. has been released from police custody since, but he's scheduled to appear in court on December 14 after saying he hadn't "intentionally" broken the law, according to Page Six.

This is hardly the first time that a member of Lindsay Lohan's family gets into trouble with the law, as her father, also named Michael, has gotten arrested a few times in the past.

No other members of Lindsay Lohan's family have commented on Michael Jr.'s recent arrest.
