Portia de Rossi revealed that when she's out in public along with her long- time partner fans call Ellen DeGeneres an angel and latter described her as horrible.

The 42 year old Portia, who has been married to Ellen DeGeneres since 2008 admitted that she has no qualms in playing as Elizabeth North, who is considered to be a villain in 'Scandal' as many people presumed that she's a real life villain when off screen.

''When I'm out with Ellen, fans come up to us and say, 'Oh, my God, Ellen, you're an angel.' And then they look at me and go, 'And you're horrible!' It's funny,' the actress revealed to US Weekly.

Portia also said that though many fans considered her as a villain because of her role, she insisted that she was thrilled when she won the part. She said, "I was a fan for years! I get to work in the Oval and have scenes with Fitz [Tony Goldwyn]. He yells at me, and I'm like, 'It's pretty darn cool as a fan - and an actress."

She also admitted because of her excitement she struggled not to reveal anything about the TV series to Ellen. "I had a hard time keeping things to myself last year. She was like, 'Please don't tell me!' But then I kind of spilled it anyway. She got really angry," Portia said.

While playing for the program, Portia admitted she wants to possess some of the characters of Elizabeth, who is a Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee in the series because "I would like some of her ambition, which I'm lacking these days because I'm too happy!"

Just recently, de Rossi also talked about her character on Twitter, she wrote, "Meanwhile Elizabeth North hasn't murdered anyone and everyone thinks she's the devil #nofair."
