Meet Donut Rat, Cousin of Pizza Rat

The sweet City of New York houses all people, different shapes and sizes and that includes our furry sewer friends - the rats. Last month, we've seen a rat dragging a cheezy pizza down the steps of the New York City subway station. He became an internet viral sensation and was dutifully called "Pizza Rat." Now, meet his cousin, "Donut Rat".

In the city that never sleeps - On Friday, a Youtube user named Dustin Sherman posted a video. The furry little rodent was seen dragging a large donut in a downtown East Broadway Subway platform in Manhattan at 2:30 in the morning. The rat wanted more than a nibble, apparently, for his after midnight snack. Unfortunately, Sherman wasn't able to follow the Donut Rat to his lair. The rat ran into a dark space behind a metal gate leaving the humans in the dark as to his whereabouts in the Big Apple.

His first cousin the Pizza Rat, the one that went viral within hours, was seen dragging a large whole slice of cheese pizza down the stairs in a New York Subway Station (Sources say it was at the First Avenue L Train Station). After a while, the rat gave up as the slice was too big for him to carry. What happened to the slice? No one knows, compared to his cousin Donut Rat, he didn't get to enjoy the taste of pizza victory.

Is this an impending rise of viral internet animals and rat sensations? Or maybe a probable cause that the sanitation department should look into? Or is this a sign that there is a civilization of rats below the streets of New York feeding their Rat Queen? Imaginations can go wild but then this is New York we are talking about. The rat didn't harm anyone as shown in the video, except the carbohydrate rich food.
