ABC seems to disagree with the petition of having Raven-Symoné removed in a morning show-gig that she's co-hosting in.
After sharing her opinion about the assault incident in Spring Valley High School, the child-star, Raven from "That's so Raven" found herself being bashed by people on social media, received hate-mails and the like. Which made the talk-show (The View) decide to have a petition of her being removed from the show.
In the petition, it stated that Raven-Symoné is not the co-host they wanted and cannot fit the role of what they wanted their co-host to be. It said that they wanted a strong type of black woman who can be a representative and a role model to everyone and that Raven is just not that type of woman.
Over 120,000 people signed the petition already ever since the petition was released to the public but it is still unclear if those people are viewers of ABC.
ABC reacted over the fact that they actually loved Raven as a host in the said talk-show and that what they wrote in that petition is very disagreeable. The ABC program clarified to the ones who sent the petition that Raven is "confident, genuine and opinionated" and that Raven is the type of girl to be in a talk-show. ABC also stated that having an opinionated co-host is what they actually wanted because the show is all about strong women having their opinions heard and engaging in conversations about anything that has been happening all over the world.
In Raven's defense, all she ever wanted was to let the whole world hear about the truth. She explained that obviously she's different from other people in the world and stating or expressing her views, points and opinions is never a bad thing at all. She also stated that everybody has different opinions and in her case she has her own as well. All she ever asks for is a little respect when she's sharing hers.
