There have been countless studies that prove fast foods posess great danger into one's health. But since it is relatively inexpensive and convenient, it has become popular in almost every state to dine in at the local fast-food chain.
Motley Fool identified the five worst food items that can sabotage all your diet efforts!
1. Domino's Chicken Carbonara Pasta Bread Bowl
Simply put, it's carbs on carbs. The worst offender out of all Domino's pasta bread in a bowl is the Chicken Carbonara variety. The Carbonara boasts of having 1,480 calories while the Alfredo variety comes with 1,400. Add around 460-510 more calories from the fat.
2. McDonald's Premium Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Bacon Clubhouse Sandwich
It's ironic that a Chicken Sandwich is actually counted as the worst selection in this fast food. Why? It has 790 calories beating Big Mac's 540 calories. That's 230 calories more because of the bacon.
3. Chipotle burritos
Known for its high quality food items and service, Chipotle is not exempt from the list. Since the chain does not have set menu items, a little help from the company's nutrition calculator page will do trick. As Daniel Kline explains:
"The page lets you pick as any items as you want, but to be reasonable, I built a burrito someone might actually order. Mine contained a flour tortilla, carnitas (pork), white rice, pinto beans, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. Yes, those are the most caloric choices in each category, but my burrito did not take advantage of the fact that you can double up on a item or have multiple meats. Despite that, my custom burrito weighs in at 1,360 calories, with 608 of them coming from fat."
4. Burger King's BK Ultimate Breakfast Platter
The complete meal set has a whooping 1,420 calories - enough to last you for the whole day, and that means the Big Breakfast Platter will be the only meal you'll eat to complete your required caloric intake for the day, which is quite impossible.
5. Pizza Hut: Meat Lover's Hot Dog Bites Pizza
The Meat Lover's Hot Dog Bites Pizza comes in at 420 calories a slice. While the whole 14 inch pizza is equivalent to 3,360 calories. With this high caloric count, the Pizza Hut nutrition chart gives it a "maximum calories" classification.
