Zac Efron Shows Off 6-Month Sobriety Chip At Lakers Games (PHOTO)

Zac Efron is reportedly six months sober.

According to Us Weekly, the former "High School Musical Star," wore a blue Alcoholics Anonymous chip, around his neck at a Lakers basketball game on Dec. 20.

The publication reported that the blue chip implies an individual is six months sober. Earlier this year, the 26-year-old actor secretly completed a rehab stint, receiving treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, Us Weekly reported.

Efron has reportedly been keeping himself busy. His film "That Awkward Moment" hits theaters on Jan. 31, 2014. The former Disney channel star is reportedly still recovering from a broken jaw injury received after "slipped on a puddle" at home and having his mouth wired shut in November.

"That Awkward Moment," co-stars, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, have been mocking Efron, who is unable to speak, on his recent injury. The two released a video explaining the truth behind their friend's broken jaw.

"Zac was at home with a girl, giving her the worst sexual experience of her life, absolute worst," the boys said. "So she picked up a book, a heavy book, and slammed it into your beautiful face."

"Case closed," Teller said before high-fiving with Jordan.

Efron did nothing but look terrified as he sits and listens to his co-stars, jokingly insult him.

"That Awkward Moment," is a comedy about three young men who vow to stay single as long as possible, after one of three separates from his wife. The movie hits theaters on Jan. 31.
