In a recent interview with the English singer-songwriter Edward Christopher Sheeran better known as Ed Sheeran, the singer talked about his upcoming album, and Sheeran claimed that the 'Empire State of Mind' singer Jay-Z called him an "alien" after Jay-Z heard a song from him.
The musician and occasional actor stated that, "Jay Z made me perform the song four times in a row, and called me an alien," Sheeran also said, "That was promising."
The 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker unleashed his second album 'X' in June of 2014, and Ed Sheeran confirmed that he's already started working on its follow-up.
The West Yorkshire born singer gave an account in words of how he played a track likely to appear on the release of Jay Z and Beyonce at their hometown in New York, after performing in the Global Citizen Festival in September.
Talking about Sheeran's forthcoming third album, dubbed as "little baby," Ed Sheeran stated, "In a normal manner, I don't give serious attention about what people might say about my music. If people will love it, awesome; if they don't, go and listen to something else. But this time its contrasting. The upcoming project is a lot more dear to me. I'm nervous about how it's going to be adopted by the people."
During the interview, Ed Sheeran also spoke about being a member of Taylor Swift's "squad," in which he said that, "It's not a vaginas-only club," and Ed Sheeran continued by saying that he has never listened to a Radiohead album.
Ed Sheeran said, "I've never listened to a Radiohead album, to be honest. I didn't hear a track of Bruce Springsteen until like two years ago, and now I f-ing love Springsteen."
On the other hand, Ed Sheeran hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards last Sunday, and besides hosting the show, Ed Sheeran also performed at the event and won two awards - the award for Best Live Act and Best World Stage.
