AMAs 2015: Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Walk the Moon Among Performers

The most awaited 2015 American Music Awards is fast approaching and details of the upcoming event are slowly being unfolded. Recently, the AMAs revealed the latest additions to the announced performers which include Nick Jonas, the rock band Walk the Moon and Demi Lovato.

They will be joining Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood, 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction and Jennifer Lopez who will also be singing or dancing for the coming awards night which will be held on November 22 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Demi Lovato, who recently released her fifth studio album entitled 'Confident', will be performing at the AMAs for the first time. It will also be the first time that rock band Walk the Moon, which started in 2008, will sing in front of the AMA audience.

Besides their performance, the new boy group will also come to the annual event with hope of winning the award from New Artist of the Year category, Pop/Rock and Favorite Artist category, and Favorite Duo or Group category.

On the other hand, performing at the AMAs is no longer new to Nick Jonas. The singer and songwriter has already performed for the said event while he was still with the 'Jonas Brothers.' The 23-year-old artist together with his brothers also took the stage as a group in 2007 and 2008. He also received the Breakthrough Artist recognition in 2008.

For this year's ceremony, Nick Jonas will be offering a solo performance which will be the first time in AMAs. The singer was also nominated for Favorite Male Artist.

Taylor Swift gets the highest number of nominations for this year's event. The 'Bad Blood' singer who is currently on her '1989' World Tour garnered a total of six nominations from different categories. Swift was followed by Ed Sheeran and The Weekend who both received five nominations.
