These days, Sofia Vergara, along with "The Big Bag Theory" star Kaley Cuoco, is the highest-paid actress on television, but long before she played Gloria Pritchett in "Modern Family" she had a long career in Hollywood and wasn't nearly as famous - and one time in 2003, there was a Sofia Vergara and Bill Cosby interview.
After an old video of the Sofia Vergara and Bill Cosby interview resurfaced, there was speculation that around the time the awkward clip happened, Vergara had been a victim of Cosby, now that dozens of women have stepped forward to tell their stories of being molested by the comedian - and now, the "Chef" star is setting the record straight.
According to USA Today, Florida-based Spanish-speaking radio station En Candela tweeted earlier this week a growing rumor after the Sofia Vergara and Bill Cosby interview resurfaced, mentioning Vergara's Twitter account in the process, prompting the Emmy nominee to respond on the same medium.
"Respect people, stop making up nonsense," tweeted Joe Manganiello's fiancée in response to the Sofia Vergara and Bill Cosby rumor.
As The Huffington Post reports, the Bill Cosby and Sofia Vergara interview happened when the "Cosby Show" star was standing in for David Letterman on "The Late Show" while the host was out on sick leave and the actress was promoting her film "Chasing Papi," and at the time no alarms were raised even though Cosby blatantly flirted with the Colombian actress and said wildly inappropriate things like how her dress made him "excited" and saying that "men look at you, and they only think of sin."
Of course, years later and with a sex scandal on his shoulders, the perspective of this interview has completely changed.
