Just as audiences recover from this year's Disney Pixar tearjerker, "Inside Out," the company created by Walt Disney is already planning their next move, with Disney's "Zootopia" currently casting its stars in what sounds like a film of downright epic proportions.
Disney's "Zootopia" is set for an early 2016 release, only a few months ahead, but the company had kept fairly tight-lipped about the actors involved in the project, but as it seems they've already released all the cast members, the list looks quite impressive, including the likes of "Luther" actor Idris Elba as well as recent Oscar winner J.K. Simmons.
According to Deadline, Disney's "Zootopia" has just released its full cast sheet, including the two aforementioned actors as well as Oscar-winning star Olivia Spencer as well as a few familiar names to the production, including Bonnie Hunt, Jenny Slate and Disney regular actor Alan Tudyk, who has in the past voiced characers in hits like "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Frozen" - and on this new role, fans of Queen Elsa will notice the wink to his character in the icy film in his character's name, Duke Weaselton.
Slash Film reports that the amazing Disney "Zootopia" cast doesn't end there, also featuring the voice talents of Jason Bateman, "Scandal" star Katie Lowes (who also voiced additional characters in "Frozen"), Tommy Chong and even pop star Shakira, who will play, well, a pop star in the animated film.
According to The Wrap, Disney's "Zootopia" deals with a city where animals of all kinds coexist together in a metropolis - but one little bunny (Ginnifer Goodwin) who enters the police force comes to realize that it's not all that easy being a small animal in a world of big and scary ones.
In all, it seems like a Disney analogy of a woman entering the male-dominated environment of the police force and making it work.
Don't miss Disney's "Zootopia" on theaters, starting on March 2016!
