Ellen DeGeneres Shares Life Experiences on 'Oprah's Master Class', Oprah Winfrey Learned From 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Host

Oprah Winfrey successfully launched the fifth season of her 'Oprah's Master Class' TV program on Sunday. The talk show host had Ellen DeGeneres talk about her personal experiences for the first episode.

The popular American media proprietor shares what she learned from DeGeneres during the comedian's 'Oprah's Master Class' episode on OWN. After seeing the episode featuring the host of the 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', Oprah came to realize how difficult it was for Ellen to say, 'I'm gay.'

"You know what I didn't know - and I was surprised at myself because I'm pretty empathetic as a person - but I really didn't realize until I saw that Master Class how hard it was for you to say, 'I'm gay,'" Oprah stated.

The said episode also helped the 61-year-old producer, and philanthropist figure out the contributions of Ellen DeGeneres on the planet. For her, the TV host serves as an inspiration to the people to be true to themselves.

"The real work that you've done on the planet will be teaching people how to live authentically as themselves," Winfrey praised DeGeneres.

In 'Oprah's Master Class,' Ellen DeGeneres talked about some of her unforgettable life experiences and how she worked hard to be where and who she is now. Before having her own TV program which is on-air since 2003, the successful comedian and producer experienced waiting tables, selling vacuum cleaners, bartending and painting houses in order to pay her bills.

Ellen DeGeneres also revealed the things she did during her first few times onstage which she thinks are stupid.

In the later part of the episode, DeGeneres talked about her sexuality. Like many, the TV personality struggled with how to be true to herself and express to the world who she truly is.

"It made me feel shame that I couldn't be honest and who I am. I just didn't want to pretend to be somebody else anymore so that people would like me," recalled Ellen.

Oprah Winfrey admired DeGeneres for her courage in being true to herself. This kind of revelations made the TV magnate love 'Oprah's Master Class' which features well known personalities to share their experiences.
