If you don't know the legendary Kurt Russell, then you should probably go see Vanilla Sky and Bone Tomahawk. In an interview with Collider, Russell reveals he's elated with the remake of Big Trouble in Little China, a movie he starred in during the 80's which was directed by Jack Burton. The remake will star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. 

When Kurt Russell heard that a remake was happening, he was completely unaware until recently that it was really going to happen. Russell feels that it's going to be an interesting take as Big Trouble is a cult film. 

He claims he does not know what their reasons are for remaking the movie but he has high hopes that they're doing it for the right reasons. He's definitly wishing Dwayne Johnson, who will start in the remake, and John Carpenter, the director of the remake, good luck! 

What is known is that Dwayne Johnson was a follower of Big Trouble when he was younger. As he will fill in the role of Kurt Russell in this remake, Johnson adds that if they get the right people, the right writers, basically the right team then they have a shot at making a great remake. 

While some pieces like Dwayne starring is already released, not a lot of information have been properly determined. Like what the actual storyline will be. But if they stay true to the old film, Big Trouble in Little China is about a movie starring an All American road truck driver and a friend who got drawn into an unexpected encounter with an ancient and dangerous sorcerer in mystical China Town. 

"The Rock" star said that they're just going through the fun part. Whatever will make the film better, it's going to be done by Johnson and Carpenter.
