Neil DeGrasse Tyson ‘StarTalk’: Superstar Scientist Brings Bill Clinton To Talk Show, Pluto ´Hater´ Discusses Celebs’ ‘Inner Geek’

As this is the era of science and technology, it's hardly a surprise to see that there are scientists out there that have turned into superstars, from iconic genius Stephen Hawking all the way to Bill Nye "The Science Guy," but very few people have influenced science perception like Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk."

Tyson has been growing in popularity for years, and in 2014, when he hosted the National Geographic remake of Carl Sagan's "Cosmos," he finally exploded in the field of science lovers, so being the rock star of the scientific world, it's hardly a surprise how many celebrities end up on Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk."

This Sunday, the second season of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk" will begin on NatGeo, and his first guest this year, will be former U.S. president Bill Clinton - who's actually not the first 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue resident to sit down with him, as Jimmy Carter also spoke to the director of the Hayden Planetarium.

"I couldn't think of a more appropriate guest to kick off our second season," said the astrophysicist about the second season of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk," according to Space.com. "President Bill Clinton is a public figure whose impact and influence span politics, pop culture and science - with an occasional dose of humor. That's exactly the mission statement of 'StarTalk,' and I look forward to sharing our conversation with viewers."

Tyson recently spoke to Variety about what he expects from an interview on Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk" and he says his desires are simple: he wants to bring out his interviewee's "inner geek," showing a different side of his guest than anyone has seen before.

In the past, DeGrasse has spoken to some of the biggest figures in the world, from the likes of whistleblower Edward Snowden to "Interstellar" director Christopher Nolan and "Star Trek" actor George Takei - everyone has a spot in his show!

A few months back, when New Horizons finally reached Pluto, he also spoke to "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert.

In any case, watch the return of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk" this Sunday on NatGeo, at 11/10c.
