Facebook Search Updated!

Different developments in Facebook has been at work lately. This October Facebook is improving the mobile profiles, video enhancements, shopping feature on mobile testing, 'reactions' button in Spain and Ireland.

Lately, the top social network already implemented reading of news feed regardless of slow connection.Another upgrade is the availability of doodling on photos ahead of posting.

Facebook also partnered with Eutesat that will launch internet in Africa next year.

The company also announced the new Facebook Search. The update includes the expansion of the coverage to search on public posts. This enables all information  posted even in the past , searchable when certain keywords are typed.

The update on Facebook search makes it more search-friendly even though it is yet to be optimized the likes Google Search level. The update doesn't violate privacy because options to show or to hide are chosen by the owner of the account. This idea is for the website to work just like a search engine but only within the facebook site.

Soon, sections for "top" and "latest" related posts will be seen in the social network. These are helpful when searching for a brand, company, or even news. It also aims to provide the following: better search suggestion, any "public" posts can be searched, viewed, commented and shared.

Here are the ways how to private your posts from public:

  • Click on the More icon. In Android, you can locate this button in the upper right-hand corner. It looks similar to 'three horizontal lines on top of each' or an 'equal sign with three parallel lines'.
  • Scroll down a little and then choose "Privacy Shortcuts".
  • Pick "Who can see my stuff?".

• Set the viewers under "Who can see your future posts?". It can be your Friends, Friends except Acquaintances, a definite group, or custom. Just don't choose Public.
