Following earlier reports on Lamar Odom's confinement after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel last week, his former wife Khloe Kardashian has finally spoken up for the first time.
"The past week has been incredibly difficult," the 31-year old reality TV star said in a statement. "I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar."
Khloe also did not miss out on thanking everyone who are putting in their best efforts to take care of Lamar at the hospital. "I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work."
According to Entertainment Tonight, Khloe feels blessed for all the support she has been getting amidst the difficult time, adding that things "would have been difficult to endure" without them.
"Under the amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved one." Khloe wrote on her website Tuesday morning.
She ended her 'thank you' message, saying "Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!! XOXO,"
Lamar Odom was finally discharged from the hospital just yesterday and was brought to a Los Angeles facility via helicopter.
Reports say that the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star was caught by a paparazzi exiting the hospital, adding that she plans to remain on Odom's side until his full recovery.
Khloe was also the one who arranged for the transportation of Odom's family, who all flew to Las Vegas right after hearing the news. Lamar and Khloe tied the knot back in 2009.
The two decided to end their marriage and filed for divorce back in July 2013. However, the judge has not yet approved the divorce papers because of the file backlog, which would mean they are still legally married.
