Jennifer Lawrence Salary: Drops From Richard Linklater Film While Approaching Darren Aronofsky New Project – Oscar No. 2 For J-Law?

Last year, Jennifer Lawrence's salary became a trending topic all over the world when it was revealed that the 25 year-old actress, possibly the biggest box office smash in the past decade, had been paid less than her male co-stars in "American Hustle" - now, learning from her mistakes, the Oscar winner focuses on bigger projects.

Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence's salary made headlines once more after the star took to Lena Dunham's Lenny newsletter to talk about the incident that later turned her into the highest-paid actress in the world, and now she might be making some big decisions when it comes to her career.

According to Variety, the "Winter's Bone" actress is currently in talks to star in Darren Aronofsky's next film, as the actress reportedly has her heart set out on working with the critically acclaimed director in a new project that might begin shooting in the spring, with undoubtedly a high Jennifer Lawrence salary.

Later this year, Lawrence's last "Hunger Games" film will hit theaters, while next year's "X-Men: Apocalypse" will mark her last contracted film with the mutant franchise, leaving her to more availability when it comes to choosing projects.

As Cinema Blend reports, the actress is currently filming sci-fi romance "Passengers" (where Jennifer Lawrence's salary was $20 million) co-starring Chris Pratt, but after the end of her involvement in two major film franchises, it seems like she's ready to go back to low budget movies focusing on critical perspective.

Regardless of the high Jennifer Lawrence salary, could Aronofsky do for her what he did for Natalie Portman?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, rumors of Lawrence and Aronofsky working together come at the heels of the actress dropping out of another film, "The Rosie Project," which was set to be directed by recent Oscar nominee Richard Linklater, who has since also dropped out.

In any case, with the recent Jennifer Lawrence salary boost and her strong stance on gender equality, there's nowhere but up to go for J-Law these days!
