'American Horror Story' Star Sarah Paulson Talks About Taking The Fall And Wanting To Work With Lady Gaga [SPOILERS]

[SPOILER ALERT! THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE CONTAINS DETAILS FROM THE SEASON PREMIERE OF 'AMERICAN HORROR STORY: HOTEL']

The season premiere of 'American Horror Story: Hotel' was undoubtedly full of shocks, although one of the most unexpected scene was Hypodermic Sally being pushed out a window and falling to her death. After all, Sally is played by Sarah Paulson, whose characters have usually survived in the previous seasons.

But is Sally really dead? Sarah Paulson recently spoke to Variety to confirm that Sally is a ghost.

"I am trapped at the hotel. So yes, I guess I would be a ghost," she said. "No one has ever defined that for me. It's one of the things about 'American Horror Story' that I like. I don't really have the answer. I know I definitely fell. I know I definitely didn't survive the fall. And I know I'm definitely still on the show. You can deduce what you will from that."

It also looks like Sally will not be leaving the hotel anytime soon. Although Sarah Paulson declined to confirm, she did admit that Sally will be "staying close to home."

The 'American Horror Story' mainstay also admitted that she is looking forward to working with Lady Gaga in the future episodes.

"I haven't had any scenes with her, which I'm dying for," Paulson said. "She's an incredible addition to the company. There's no part of it that feels like she's the star and the rest of us are just orbiting around her. I didn't know that that's what everyone expected, but it's absolutely been the case. She energized the writers. The whole show has been energized by having her around."

So what could happen in the future episodes? Sarah Paulson admits executive producer Ryan Murphy offered a few hints about the season.

"He just told me that this it was going to be very different, and it is. I think it's a very beautifully woven, amalgamation of all the seasons preceding it, rolled into one," she said.

The third episode of 'American Horror Story: Hotel' is titled 'Mommy' and will air on FX on October 21.
