Rachel Leigh Cook is a new mom.
The actress welcomed a baby girl with husband Daniel Gillies, their first child together, E! News has reported. The couple, who married in 2004, announced they were expecting in May.
"We're both people who like kids, but we weren't jumping up and down, like, 'Oh my God, let's start that chapter of our lives,'" Cook told People in June. "There was just so much more both of us wanted to do."
Cook got her big break starring as the nerd turned hot girl in "She's All That" and Gillies is best known for his role ad Original Vampire, Elijah, on "The Vampire Diaries."
Gillies tweeted about the arrival of his daughter.

Cook recently did a interview about impending motherhood for People's Celebrity Baby Blog. She joked that the best things about gestation is that people tell her she looks great, even when it is far from true.
"I feel a-okay so far," she said. "I know that a lot of women have horrendously difficult pregnancies so I am feeling very lucky."
When asked if she is worried about getting mom brain and becoming absent-minded.
"I am running on precious few brain cells these days as is," Cook said. "Other wired ailments include spontaneous crying and serious nesting instincts are setting in. Cleaning out the garage and basement, getting rid of old stuff just feels great."
Cook said after she gained 30 pounds, she stopped checking and started stepping on the scale backwards at her appointments.
"I don't care how much I gain at this stage as long as I know the little stowaway is okay. No need to have a number associated with this excellent experience," she said. "As for the cravings, I was shooting for the first six months so craft service was my best and worst craving ally. Anything was available to me at any given time. Taking particular punishment were citrus fruits, especially pineapple, popcorn and apple fritters. Forget it."
