Beyoncé and Demi Lovato are Artists on 'Day of the Girl' Playlist of Michelle Obama

The American lawyer, writer and the spouse of president Barack Obama - Michelle Obama, has selected a playlist of her favorite female artists in the digital music service that gives access to millions of songs - Spotify. Michelle Obama's selection of songs was made to commemorate the International Day of the Girl on Sunday October 11.

The First Lady to the 44th and current President of the United States playlist's includes songs by the American singer and actress Beyoncé, the American musical recording artist Janelle Monae and the 'If I Ain't Got You' hitmaker - Alicia Keys. The 20 song playlist of Michelle Obama coincided with the date which the United Nations set out to raise concern and as well as dessiminate information about gender inequality worldwide.

Michelle Obama also included in the playlist - Beyoncé's 'Run The World (Girls),' 'Girl on Fire' by Alicia Keys, 'Confident' of the American singer and actress -  Demi Lovato, and also features the songs of the artist who started her career singing gospel songs in her father's church - Aretha Franklin, the American jazz musician and singer-songwriter - Billie Holiday and the singer, record producer and actress - Mary J. Blige.

Obama will also celebrate the International Day of the Girl by promoting her own female initiative, Let Girls Learn - a campaign seeking the right to education for over 62 million girls across the globe as well as inspiring American girls about their educational opportunities to build a healthier family, a stronger community, and a brighter future.

The initiative of Michelle Obama has been endorsed by a host of prominent stars such as the singer, actress and talk show host - Queen Latifah, the American actress and fashion model - Charlize Theron and the singer-songwriter, record producer and legendary musician - Smokey Robinson.

In addition, Michelle Obama made a trip to east London and spent some time in Mulbery School for Girls in Tower Hamlets, and explained to them, "Don't just be book-smart, be smart about the world - know your community, know your politics."
