"Man v. Food" star Adam Richman has revealed his weight loss success.

The television host, who shot to fame after tackling humongous portions of food in restaurants around America, told People Magazine that he's lost more than 60 pounds since quitting his food series.

Richman said he had to cut down on white flour and dairy and has started exercising more, but admitted that sticking to his weight loss plans were hard.

"The crew got a bunch of pizzas, and it was all I could smell," Richman said. "It sucked. But I had a Greek yogurt with raw almonds, water and an iced coffee, and I was satisfied."

The TV host is most known for inhaling close to five pounds of stuffed pizza and taking on gluttonous food challenges such as an 8-pound platter of steak and fries covered in mushroom sauce and cheese.

The 39-year-old chef said he has no regrets about appearing on "Man V Food." despite his weight gain.

"Man v. Food was the biggest career-defining opportunity," he said. "I went from anonymity to someone of note with access to amazing eateries."

Richman's series ran from 2008 to 2011. He reportedly kept a journal of all the places he has visited since 1995.

The former actor has appeared on the Food Network's "Iron Chef America" as a judge and has also hosted "Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America" an 11-episode series "documented on Richman's nationwide quest to find the best thing since slice bread."

Richman's new show "Fandemonium" airs Sundays on the Travel Channel.
