'The Voice' News: 'Christina Aguilera' to Return in Season 10 of the Talent Competition

Christina Aguilera is set to make a major comeback for the 10th season of "The Voice," which is due to premiere this February.

International Design Times revealed that the pop diva will rejoin her fellow coaches Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. She will be replacing current coach Gwen Stefani.

Christina was a fan favorite as a member of the original set of judges, Us Weekly informed. Colombian songstress Shakira and the 46-year-old "No Doubt" hitmaker took her spot while she was on leave. To recall, she took some time off as she and her fiancé Matt Ruler welcomed her daughter Summer Rain in August 2014.

"The coaches on 'The Voice' continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show," Paul Telegdy, the president of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment, held in a statement. He also even teased the show's followers and added that they should not miss what the forthcoming season will bring, aside from Christina's comeback to the show.

Meanwhile, E! Online reported that Christina has also been working on her new album. As a matter of fact, she recently made an appearance at NBC's "Today" show and gave some details about her next LP.

"I've been loosely working and sort of accumulating ideas of what my next album will be over the last couple of years," the "I Turn To You" singer said. She even divulged that it has been a while since she recorded a single and that she wanted her supporters to get something new from her.

The returning "The Voice" coach has already won a total of six Grammy and sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Not only that, she is also an ambassador for the United Nations' World Food Programme.

In fact, Today reported that the chart-smashing singer had an interview with Natalie Morales about her latest jaunt in Ecuador. The "Burlesque" star said she has "passion and pride for the heritage," adding that her work as a volunteer "makes her emotional" and she started to appreciate and be humbled on what she has after her trip.
