Is 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' actually a musical about fighting the undead during the zombie apocalypse?
Actress Milla Jovovich jokes about the premise of the last 'Resident Evil' film with a few pictures that she has shared on Instagram. One photo shows the 'Fifth Element' star with the fellow cast members doing funny poses on the set of 'The Final Chapter.'
"Resident Evil: The Musical! It's so wonderful shooting with such an amazing group of people @rubyrose @therealalil @eoincmacken @iamfraserjames! You all make running around freezing tunnels at 4am so much easier! Regram from @rubyrose #residentevilmovie #capetowndiary," the caption read.
In case you were wondering what 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' will really be about, the synopsis for the film reads as follows:
"Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice [Jovovich] is betrayed by Wesker [Shawn Roberts] in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity's final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began - Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse."
'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' will reunite Alice with Claire Redfield, who is played by former 'Heroes' actress Ali Larter. Milla Jovovich also shared an Instagram photo with her costar with the caption, "These badass ladies be back! On set with @therealalil. #aliceandclaire #residentevilmovie #capetowndiary."
'Game of Thrones' actor Iain Glen will reprise his role as Dr. Alexander Isaacs and Shawn Roberts will return as Albert Wesker.
The last film of the 'Resident Evil' movie series will also feature new characters including Abigail, who is portrayed by 'Orange is the New Black' star Ruby Rose and Cobalt, who will be played by Japanese TV personality Rola. Eoin Macken, William Levy and Fraser James will also join the cast.
