Raquel Welch is coming back to the small screen.
The 70's legendary actress will star alongside actress Gina Gershon in the Lifetime biopic "House Of Versace", according to The Hollywood Reporter. Welch will be playing Aunt Lucia alongside Gershon, who has the job of bringing the inimitable Donatella Versace to TV.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film documents the time after the murder of Gianni Versace.
"The original movie is based on Wall Street Journal reporter Deborah Ball's book House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival and centers on Donatella, who after her brother's slaying is thrust into the spotlight as head designer of his fashion empire," the magazine wrote. "At first ridiculed by critics worldwide, Donatella falls victim to drug addiction and nearly bankrupts the company."
The designer, who made the Versace name a global fashion love mark, was found murdered outside his Miami Beach home on July 1997.
"With the help of her family, including daughter Allegra, Aunt Lucia (Welch) and brother Santo (Feore), she enters rehab to confront her demons and soon comes back stronger than ever to reignite the beloved Versace brand with her own vision and builds one of the most powerful and influential fashion houses ever known," The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
The 72-year-old actress is known for some of her racy films "Myra Breckinridge" and "One Million Years B.C. in 2012, Welch was ranked second on Men's Health Magazine "Hottest 100 Women of All Time" countdown, beaten only by Jennifer Aniston.
In 2012 the actress told Men's Health Magazine she believed that Americans were living in an "era of porn."
