Taylor Swift has done it again!
Known for her philanthropic acts and charitable works, the singer-songwriter donated a whopping $50,000 for a 13-month-old boy named Ayden, who was diagnosed by doctors with cancer this week. The little boy is reported to be the nephew of Kim "Toshi" Davidson, one of Taylor's awesome dancers on her 1989 World Tour.
"Baby Ayden, I'm lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour," Taylor wrote on the GoFundMe page. "All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor."
As of Wednesday evening, the fundraiser of Baby Ayden has reached $53,675 - way beyond the family's $20,000 goal.
Toshi was surprised to see Taylor's good act in helping his nephew. "So I get off the plane in Toronto and this is the first thing I see," Toshi posted on his Instagram along with a screenshot of Taylor's donation. "@taylorswift is an angel and my family and I can't thank her enough ... She is such an incredible human being ... This will help Lil Toshi in this time of need ... Let's pray for him to beat this ... This unexpected gift is truly a blessing."
According to the GoFundMe page, Ayden's diagnosis came after he was admitted in the ICU for more than two weeks. His mother Lindsey was forced to leave her job since she had to be by her little boy's side during this time.
As written in the fundraiser page, the money that will be donated to the Baby Ayden "will allow Lindsey to focus on Ayden and be with him day and night without having to leave his side."
The story of Baby Ayden hits home in Taylor's heart since her mother, Andrea Finlay, has also been diagnosed with cancer last April. She wrote in her Tumblr post: "Thank you for caring about my family so much that she would want me to share this information with you," she wrote. "I hope and pray that you never get news like this. Love you. Taylor."
