'Fast And Furious 8' Update: Tyrese Gibson Supported Vin Diesel in Search For A ‘Furious 8’ Director

As the American film studio, owned by Comcast through its wholly owned subsidiary NBCUniversal - Universal Studios, is in search for a director to helm the Furious 8 (the 8th installment of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's Fast & Furious film), the selfless leader (Diesel) hit on his Facebook page posting an old picture of himself standing between the original The Fast And The Furious director Rob Cohen and the late Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel stated, "The aficionados of the 'Fast & Furious' SAGA are the best fans in the world... Since I became the Producer in 2008, you have been with me every step of the way... literally giving me feedback that proved invaluable... Thank you."

The American Grammy-nominated R&B singer Tyrese Gibson, who played Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious franchise, showed up in the comments on a Facebook post.

Tyrese Gibson stated, "The foundation of a worldwide #Family was created from the moment Rob Cohen introduced Paul Walker to Vin Diesel.... I've heard the stories of the exchange in great feature from all 3 of them.... Distinctly they were exceptionally creative enough to know something long before most of ever become fully aware of  it.... The letters, the tweets, the FaceBook post with people pouring their hearts out about HOW this #FastFamily re-ignited the love and bonding in their own families worldwide."

Tyrese Gibson at that point also attached a video, which had a screenshot of the leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement - Martin Luther King at his "I Have A Dream" speech.

Tyrese Gibson also said in the statement, "This should help as a reminder that we have the ability to make a difference and impact lives globally through imagery - I think you all should know his by now.... this #FastFamily is YOUR family.... Vin you're the big brother I've never had... Forbearing and always advising and we all feel protected because of you as a producer in this Fast & Furious franchise....To my big bro the selfless leader and captain.....Vin this is for you."

With Vin Diesel's post of Cohen strongly suggesting that he is fondly reminiscing the past, is it possible that he will be brought in to direct Furios 8?
