Carly Rae Jepsen and Jessie J - Latest Addition to FOX's 'Grease Live'

FOX's upcoming live production of the musical Grease (1971) - dubbed as Grease Live, which is slated to be aired on Fox in 2016, announced it's latest additions to the cast. FOX got on board the Canadian singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen and the Price Tag hitmaker - Jessie J.

The previous star on Broadway's "Cinderella - Carly Rae Jepsen, will portray Frenchy - the iconic Pink Lady and fan-favorite school dropout. While Jessie J will play a new version of "Grease (Is the Word)" by Barry Gibb from the 1978 film.

Grease Live's new additions are Aaron Tveit (got famous for originating the roles of Gabe in Next to Normal) as Danny, Carlos Pena Jr. (best known as Carlos García on the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush), the American actor best known for starring in the Nickelodeon series The Troop - David Del Rio as T-Bird "Putzie," and the American actress, singer, and voice actress - Kether Donohue rounds out the Pink Ladies as Jan.

The previously-announced members of Grease Live are the American singer and television personality - Keke Palmer, Vanessa Hudgens (rose to prominence playing Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series), and the  two-time professional champion of Dancing with the Stars - Julianne Hough.

When Grease Live will be aired on January 31, 2016, the current choreographer and co-producer of the TV series Glee - Zach Woodlee, will do the choreography.

It will feature some of the show's most memorable moments, great music and the lasting love story to an entirely new generation.

Fox's description of the musical event - Grease Live, "In this live television adaptation of the musical classic, the start of senior year means the end of Danny and Sandy's summer romance - until Sandy did not expect to be transferred to Danny's high school. With Sandy and Danny's friends pulling them in different directions, it's up to Danny and Sandy to remain hopelessly devoted as they make their way from Rydell High to a new frontier."
