Country singer Loretta Lynn's eldest daughter has died at the age of 64, according to People.
Betty Sue Lynn, passed away on Monday from complications of emphysema in Waverly,Tennessee near her mother's ranch.
"The Lynn Family appreciates all your prayers, love and support of our family's loss," a statement on the Loretta Lynn Facebook page read.
Loretta had six children, all born in eastern Kentucky. In her autobiography and country album "The Coal Miners Daughter," she explained she always wanted a big family and it was in her nature.
"Well you know I think being one out of eight kids, and I was the second child, you kinda care for all the sisters and brothers, and it was kind of like me takin' care of my sisters and brother when I had my first one," she said, according to the Daily Mail.
The country singer still has a strong fan base. According to CMT, Loretta preformed July 26 at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. She's scheduled to resume her tour on Aug. 9 with a sold-out show at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, Mo.
This is not the first time the country singer lost a child. In 1984 her son Jack Benny Lynn died at the age of 34, after drowning. Loretta also lost her husband of 48 years, in 1996. He died after losing his battle against cancer.
Betty Sue is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Markworth and Audrey Dryer, and five grandchildren.
