It's no secret that Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are going to be against each other in the upcoming Marvel sequel 'Captain America: Civil War.' The film, which is based on the comic book series 'Civil War,' finds Captain America and Iron Man on either side of a battle against the freedom of superheroes.
At this point, everyone couldn't stop asking who would be on Team Captain America and Team Iron Man. At the recent Edmonton Comic Expo, a young fan asked Iron Man creator Stan Lee whose side he would be on, and the comic book icon had a surprising answer.
"Whatever side Captain America was on, because he's the best, pure-hearted person in the whole world," Lee responded.
The Marvel legend also said some kind words about the actor who embodies Steve Rogers in the films.
"By the way, he's a great actor, too, the guy who plays Captain America does a beautiful job - Chris Evans," Lee said.
Stan Lee concluded the compliment with a joke. "I say that because he likes me, and anyone who likes me is a great actor," he said.
Sadly, the 92-year-old comic book writer admitted he doesn't read comics anymore due to his failing eyesight. However, that still doesn't stop Stan Lee from finding humor in his predicament.
"I look at the covers, and I try to guess what's going on," Lee said about reading publications. "All I know is, the girls look beautiful on the covers - I sometimes think I'm reading 'Playboy' and I'm not objecting to that one bit!"
'Captain America: Civil War' also stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye. The film is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
