The 30-year old girlfriend of 'Bruce Almighty' actor Jim Carrey was found dead in her home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, on Monday September 28, according to reports.
Cathriona White, who reportedly wrote a suicide note, which mentions the name of the actor, was found unresponsive by a friend and was pronounced dead at around 8:40 in the evening, the Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed.
"Cathriona White, 30, was pronounced dead by paramedics Monday evening," said by Fred Corral from the LA County coroner's office.
Though the reports added that the real cause of her death is still pending and an autopsy is yet to be conducted, Ed Winter, the assistant chief from the LA County coroner's office, confirmed that alongside the suicide note, pills were also seen next to White's body.
"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled." Jim Carrey said in a statement released through his publicist.
He went on saying, "My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
Prior to her death, White sent her last tweet on Thursday, September 24. She wrote, "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest."
The former couple started dating back in 2012 and went through a short break-up after. They were last spotted hanging out together in May, which some concluded that they were maybe trying to get things back together as a couple.
Before she moved to L.A, Cathriona White was a beauty therapist and has worked as a make-up artist and hair stylist on various film productions, which included the 2013 movie 'Solitude'.
