Actress Amanda Bynes is undergoing mental health evaluations. 

The actress was placed under a 72 -hour evaluation by California's sheriff deputies after being involved in an incident Monday night. According to CNN, the actress was "involved in a disturbance in a residential neighborhood in Thousand Oaks. 

The incident began with an emergency call to the fire department that a gas can was burning in a residential driveway. 

An eyewitness at the scene told TMZ that the actress had burned her dog. 

"I saw the girl laying down right there with her left pant leg on fire. I quickly pulled over and there was this gas can right there and it's trailing fire," the witness said. "Pull over, went to go help her and the flames, but then extinguished out. She went over there to get her dog. She was really frantic like she wanted to get out of there."

Neighborhood resident Bonnie Braaten told US Weekly she was confused about Bynes actions that night. The home owner who driveway was allegedly set on fire by the actress spoke out over the "bizarre incident."

"I have no idea what she was doing," Braaten told US Weekly. According to reports the actress parents live nearby.

This has not been the only legal trouble the actress has been in this year. 

The former child-star was arrested on May 23, after police officers responded to calls that Bynes was allegedly smoking pot in the lobby of a midtown apartment building. She allegedly threw a bong out of her 36th-floor window when police entered her apartment. The actress claims it was just a vase, the Daily News reported.  

After the incident, Bynes told her Twitter followers the police account was "all lies" and that she as "Sexually harassed by one of the cops the night before last."

In California, the actress's attorney pleaded no contest to driving with a suspended license and she was sentenced to three years' summary probation. Bynes was also arrested in April 2012 for a DUI.
