Sam Smith Net Worth: 'I'm Not the Only One' Singer Releases James Bond 'Spectre' Theme Song 'Writing's on the Wall' [SONG + PHOTOS]

If Sam Smith's theme song for the upcoming James Bond flick, "Spectre" is any indication of what's to come in the film, then you better start gearing up.

The full length version of the theme song, "Writing's on the Wall," dropped on Friday morning, which doesn't veer away from the signature image from the James Bond franchise.

Consisting of an orchestra opening, minor chords and brooding vocals, the full versions spans a total of four minutes and 38 seconds.

Sam Smith, the man who also penned the song, describes it as a "classic Bond song," in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw.

"Now we spoke about this a couple of weeks ago on the show, and it was kind of the worst kept secret in music, that Sam Smith was going to be doing the James Bond theme - it was like, 'we know, we know, we know,'" said Grimshaw.

He continued, "Now when you tweeted that picture of the ring from 'Spectre,' were you allowed to do that? Were you told to do that?"

"Yeah, that was all planned, that was all planned. The whole thing was all thought out very intensely. But I mean, I thought in the beginning people thought I was me then there's the whole betting thing that happened with Radiohead. [...] That people thought it was them. So yeah, I just wanted it to be a surprise," answered Sam Smith.

Upon unveiling the song on Friday morning, Smith said on Twitter how overwhelmed he is by this dream come true: "I have been dreaming of this moment for a long long time."

Sam Smith follows Adele's footsteps, in which the latter wrote and sang the eponymous "Skyfall" theme song - which was also the first James Bond theme song to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Sam Smith net worth is $15 million.
