Pottermore 2015: J.K. Rowling’s Stage Play ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’ Performing ‘Deathly Hallows’ Move, Will Be Released In 2 Parts

The last book of J.K. Rowling's saga about the boy wizard played by Daniel Radcliffe, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," was so dense that it was split into two films, a trend that would later be continued on "Twilight" and more recently "The Hunger Games" - and the latest Pottermore 2015 news shows that the same can be expected with the upcoming play based on a new story.

Earlier this year, the author announced "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," a London stage play based on a unpublished story written by Rowing, and more recent Pottermore 2015 news reveals more about the sequel.

According to Comic Book, ahead of the official Pottermore 2015 press release, Rowling took to her Twitter (as she's turned into a total social media queen in the 140 characters-based site) to say that, due to the "epic" nature of "Cursed Child," they'd be releasing the play as a two-part adventure.

As The Mary Sue reports, the Pottermore 2015 announcement said that, unlike usual two-part book adaptations, the two parts of the play would in fact play on either consecutive days of the same week or even on the same date, so fans won't have to wait a whole year to know what happens in the second part.

"I just hope we do it justice," said Jack Thorne, the BAFTA-winning writer of the stage play, on Pottermore's 2015 statement. "I'm so constantly aware of respecting the previous seven stories ... I hope people love this play like they loved the books. Everything we do is with that in mind."

Very little is known about the upcoming stage play, except for the fact that it will be on London's West End next year - as Pottermore's 2015 announcement says, tickets for the summer 2016 play will be available starting this fall.
