Emma Roberts was arrested on July 7 after allegedly getting into a fight with boyfriend Evan Peters.
Police arrested the actress in her Montreal hotel room, where she and boyfriend, Peters, were both found with injures, according to the Daily Mail. Peters was found with a bloody nose and a bite mark.
Authorities were called by another guest around 2 a.m., reporting a conflict in a nearby room. According to witness statements, Roberts was arrested but later released without incident, no charges were filed.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it," reps for the actors told Us Weekly in a joint statement.
The couple work together on the hit show "American Horror Story."
Emma, 22, is the niece of actress Julia Roberts and daughter of Eric Roberts, an actor best know for his work in 1985's "Runaway Train" and his troubles with drug abuse. He was arrested in 1987 for possession of cocaine and marijuana and in 2011 appeared in "Celebrity Rehab" for his dependency on medical marijuana.
A source tells the New York Daily News that the couple have not broken up. Roberts' Twitter account has no indication of the incident.
Roberts and Peter have reportedly been dating since Valentine's Day, when they were reportedly spotted making out during the "Safe Haven" screening at The Grove in L.A.
Roberts will be seen in "We're the Millers" our on August 7. The movie also stars Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, and Ed Helms.
