Hip-hop collective and music production Odd Future is gaining more and more attention these days since Tyler, the creator made some noise in the industry in 2011. He has been known for his unfiltered raps, mad flows and beats that would result to some earworm and of course, his controversial live performance on Fallon and his kind of disturbing music videos.
Based on his works, Odd Future is indeed just the right title for his roots. Fans of this talented MC will be glad to know that he just recently teamed up with another hip-hop artist, A$AP Rocky. The two collaborated at a concert in Madison Square Garden and so far, it was a success. Entertainment Weekly's review of their performance didn't go as bad as what a lot of their haters might think. It's the hip-hop world; artists are bound to have haters.
Critically acclaimed radio station NPR also did a review on what went down with this duo's recent performance. There is no doubt that they were impressed, given one of these rappers background. Most artists get discovered by a producer, an A&R or some sleezy TV show, but these two worked their way up from the Internet to live festivals and now, to Madison Square Garden.
The duo's claim to fame might not be that conventional, but they just proved that hard work and talent can lead you to your dreams. Both of their unfiltered lyrics also gained them more fans not just in the United States, but all over the world.
This tour with A$AP Rocky almost didn't happen because Tyler thought it was weird. But it's a good thing that it did because their fans came together and supported their art in full blast.
