Remember when Irene Adler was introduced in the 'Sherlock' Season Two episode 'A Scandal in Belgravia?' The world was instantly mesmerized by The Woman, who was portrayed by Lara Pulver with a certain degree of class and sensuality. Although she only appeared in two episodes of the BBC series, Irene Adler immediately became one of the most beloved characters in the show and fans continue to wait for her return to 'Sherlock.'
Although it is still unclear whether Irene Adler will appear in any future 'Sherlock' episodes, Lara Pulver seems to have found a new femme fatale role in a Hollywood film!
According to Deadline, 'Sherlock' star Lara Pulver will be joining the fifth installment of the horror fantasy movie series. Although her role in 'Underworld 5' has not yet been revealed, the 'Spooks' star could play a vampire alongside Kate Beckinsale and Theo James.
The yet untitled fifth 'Underworld' film will be directed by Anna Foerster and produced by Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi. The movie will also star Tobias Menzies as Marius, a new Lycan leader and Clementine Nicholson as Lena, a warrior from the Nordic Coven. Bradley James will play a new villain in 'Underworld 5.'
Could Lara Pulver also be cast as a villain in 'Underworld 5?' The film will start production in Prague this October and is scheduled for release on October 21, 2016.
But what are the possibilities of Lara Pulver reprising her role as Irene Adler in the 'Sherlock' special 'Masterpiece?'
Show runner Steven Moffat has previously revealed that the highly anticipated 'Sherlock' special will be a ghost story, where anything can happen. However, not much else was confirmed, especially not an appearance from Irene Adler or Jim Moriarty, who is played by Andrew Scott. "No comment," Moffat had said.
'Masterpiece' is expected to air on BBC by the end of the year.
