'Nexus 6' Price Drop: 'Amazon' and 'eBay' Makes Sure Customer Get Best Deals for the Coveted Phone

With the launching of the new Nexus phones by Google later this month, Amazon and eBay are trying to clear their inventories and dropped the price on the latest model of Google phone, Nexus 6, for as low as $299.  Last week, Amazon and Best Buy dropped the prices to $349 however eBay seems to have the best deal.

As reported in CNET, the price drop was first spotted by Android Police.  If you were to purchase the same model with the same capacity for memory,32GB, directly from Google, it would normally cost you $500 and getting it on eBay for $299 is really a great bargain.  The original price of the phone was $650.

The price drop made by the online stores came ahead of Google's launch of its new Nexus phones.  They are expected to hold an event next week in San Francisco.  The first will be a smaller version made by LG and the second one will be a larger model made by Huawei.  Huawei is the first ever that Google branded from the Chinese smart phone giant.

Both Nexus phones will feature operating system Android 6.0 or popularly known as Marshmallow.  This is the latest version of Google's mobile operating system software that power millions of phones and tablets.  Nexus devices are traditionally the first ones to be updated to the latest version of Android operating system.  Speculations are on that if you get your hands on the discounted Nexus 6, you'll be able to download Marshmallow ahead of Android users.

As a custom, leaked pictures of the new models appeared online.  The two models are rumoured to be called Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.  The last Nexus manufactured by LG was Nexus 5 last 2013.  This is a relatively popular member of the Nexus family that has been repeatedly sold out online.  It was said that the Nexus 5X will be a bit larger with a 5.2 inch screen.

Meanwhile the Nexus 6P is said to have a much larger 5.7 inch display.  It will feature a fingerprint scanner at the back that looks a circular version of Huawei's Mate sensor.  They are expected to follow the pretty simple designs of the previous models.  Nexus phones are typically less expensive than other Android phones.  So if you don't mind getting a year-old phone, Nexus 6 is your best bet.  What do you think?  Feel free to leave your comments below.
