Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving "The View" and Joining "Fox and Friends"

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving "The View."

The outspoken morning show veteran will join "Fox and Friends" on the life conservative-learning cable news network, according to the Huffington Post.

"Elisabeth's warm and engaging personality made her a star on the 'View'" Roger Ailes, Fox News Channel president, said in a statement to ABC News. "She has proven to be an excellent conservationist and I am certain she will make a great addition to out already successful morning franchise."

The former Survivor: Australian Outbreak finalist will join regular "Fox and Friends" regulars Steve Doocy and Brain Kilmeade.

"I have been a long-time fan of fox and friends and I am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home." she said in a statement to ABCnews.

The 36-year-old wife and mother of three's conservative views has caused her to butt  heads over the years with former co-host Rosie O' Donnell; and current host Joy Behar, who is leaving the show when her contract ends in August, and Whoopi Goldberg.

"We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters," said veteran host Barbara Walters. "We will miss her and wish her everything good."

Walters, who is retiring next year, denied rumors last March that Hasselbeck would also be leaving the show.

"There is a particularity false story that keeps getting picked up about Elisabeth's alleged departure, saying that we don't approve of her conservative views,"  Walters said during the show. "The truth is the we love Elisabeth. I like her personality and she's just a wonderful person. But beyond that we value and appreciate her point of view because Elisabeth helps give the show perspective and balance, so we have no plans for Elisabeth to leave the show."

Hasselbeck joined the view in 2003 replacing Lisa Ling. She is also the author of two New York Times's bestsellers, "the G-Free Diet" and "Deliciously G-free."
