Kentucky Fired Chicken (KFC) is threatening to file a lawsuit against a fired chicken restaurant in Thailand called "Hitler" for replacing their iconic image of Colonel Sanders with Adolf Hitler.
"We find it extremely distasteful and are considering legal action since it is an infringement of our brand trademark and has nothing to do with us," a spokesperson from Yum!, KFC's parent company, told the Huffington Post.
The storefront logo bares a close resemblance to the Colonel in his iconic tie and apron. The face is changed to Hitler, an anti-Semitic dictator who is responsible for the mass murders of six million Jews and millions of other during the Holocaust.
The fired chicken restaurant became viral after Andrew Spooner, author of "Footprints Thailand Handbook," tweeted a photo of the restaurant
"Very Bizarre Hitler Fired Chicken shop in Thailand. I kid you not. Complete with pic of Hitler in bow tie," Spooner tweeted.
According to the Daily Mail, the restaurant sells fired chicken, chips, burgers and kebabs.
"The place opened last month and nobody quite knows what to make of it," Alan Robertson, who lives in Bangkok, told the Daily Mail. "I went in for a bite last week and got some fired chicken and, which was pretty good."
Robertson, 43, also said a sever told him the owner thought Hitler was a "good image."
The restaurant appears to be "Hitler Chic," a new trend in which pop culture icons are recreated to resemble the former Nazi leader, according to CNN.
