It's safe to say Robert Griffin III has accomplished it all, academic success, college football, the NHL and now marriage.
According to the Washington Post, Griffin's wed his longtime girlfriend Rebecca Liddicoat on Saturday in front of several hundred guest.
The Washington Redskins star quarterback tweeted calling the event his "BIG DAY."
The couple were engaged since 2010. The bride and groom dressed in all while. Bridesmaids wear red dresses, while the groomsmen dressed in black suits. According to a close friend of the family, the ceremony left many of the couple's guest in awe.
"The best of America, that's how I felt," boxing promoter Rock Newman, a friend of the Griffin family told Washington post. "I just saw people, all ages, all ethnicities, all colors -white black, Hispanic, Asian - really just enjoying each other."
Childhood friend and groomsmen William Mallow said the ceremony was more emotional then originally expected.
"You could tell how much passion there is between them," he said. "It was definitely overwhelming, how much passion there was between them and see the families getting along so well."
According to Washington Post, during the reception, Griffin encouraged everyone in the room to get up and meet someone they did not know, telling his guest that everyone in the room is now family.
Baylor coach Art Briles posted a picture of himself and the happy groom.
