Nick Jonas is once again seen on television playing a gay character. The member of the now defunct Jonas Brothers revealed that he is honored to play such challenging roles.
In the new American comedy series 'Scream Queens' which premiered last September 22, Nick is playing the role of Boone, who is a gay. The singer's role in the new horror comedy series made by Fox is a bit less serious compared to his previous roles.
According to the 23-year-old star, the character of Boone is very intense because he has hidden attitudes and experiences. People cannot predict him at first look. As the show goes on, the character will be unravelled.
Boone has a crush on Chad Radwell who is his big bro in the golf fraternity of the university they are in.
"For Boone in particular and this show as a whole, everything is not as it seems. So I would say get ready to get surprised by a lot of different things," the actor teased.
When asked about his personal opinion regarding the role, the Jealous singer said, "I've been so honored to play some really strong gay characters whatever I can do for the community is just a blessing to me."
The Scream Queens is not the first TV show that Nick Jonas played as a gay who is asking for self-acceptance. In the series Kingdom, the actor also played the same role.
Like what the singer-songwriter's role portrays, "I think it's all about being true to who you are," says Jonas. He is aware of the influences his characters give to the LGBT community.
Between Scream Quuens and Kingdom, Nick Jonas thinks that the latter has the most top-off acting because of the challenging scenes. The actor also revealed that there are many "shirtlessness" in the Scream Queens.
