‘Little Mix’ Opens For ‘One Direction’ at Apple Music Festival — Dissing ‘Zayn Malik’?

Little Mix hit the stage in London at the Apple Music Festival and sang their hit new single "Love Me Like You." The all-female group was the opening act for One Direction.

Reports claiming that One Direction and Little Mix dissed Zayn Malik in the event then spread like wildfire. HollywoodLife reported that the concert between the two Brit groups was a "major diss" aimed at Zayn -- given that he broke up with Little Mix's Perrie Edwards last month.

The 22-year-old heartthrob ended things with Perrie months later in August. "Zayn and Perrie had been struggling for months. She's been touring and he's been focusing on the second chapter in his career," an insider told the media outlet. "They barely saw each other and they hadn't even had sex in over two months." It was also learned that the two were not on good terms after the split.

"We have a hard time believing there was no tension between [Malik] and the boys," the online showbiz news publication said despite the singer and his former bandmates having repeatedly assured fans that they're on good terms. "We are sure that Zayn wasn't thrilled to see his ex-girlfriend opening for his ex-band," the site claimed.

To recall, Zayn quit One Direction in March and said he still had cordial relationship with his ex-bandmates. However, the tabloid said they have hard time believing there was no tension between the boys, adding, "We are sure that Zayn wasn't thrilled to see his ex-girlfriend opening for his ex-band at the Apple Music Festival."

Meanwhile, One Direction recently released the second single from their forthcoming "Made In The A.M." album called "Infinity." International Design Times informed that 1D's newest tune is all about heartbreak which features lyrics like, "How many nights does it take to count the stars? That's the time it would take to fix my heart/ Oh baby, I was there for you, all I ever wanted was the truth."

The same team behind the band's smash hit "Story Of My Life" -- which include Julian Bunetta, Jamie Scott and John Ryan -- wrote the song which debuted few hours after 1D announced the album's name and its release date on a Twitter video.

"Infinity" follows "Drag Me Down" which is the band's first released song without Zayn and the first track from their fifth studio album.
