What You Need to Know About Land's End, the VR Monument Valley "Sequel" [VIDEO]

The creators behind the massive commercial success Monument Valley have gone ahead with their next innovation: Land's End. Unlike the app, the new game will be played on the Gear VR, Mashable reported. The makers, UsTwo, clearly take cues from their first game that won them multiple awards in just a short span of time.

Land's End is also a puzzle game but offers a completely different experience with the new environment care of the Gear VR. If you have ever experienced an Oculus or Gear VR, then you will know just how exciting the prospect of exploring Land's End is.

With its trippy landscapes, mesmerizing pastel colors, and trademark riddles, Land's End is a fitting "sequel" to Monument Valley. It must be clarified, however, that the new game is not a sequel but a separate game in itself. But don't take our word for it. Once you get to try out the game on the Gear VR you will inadvertently think of Monument Valley which took smartdevices by storm in 2014.

"The landscapes in the game were inspired by beautiful, isolated regions from around the world, from the soaring cliffs of northern Europe to the harsh beauty of the Sahara, and neolithic sites and artifacts such as Stonehenge," The Next Web quoted the company as saying.

The game uses a gaze-based puzzle mechanic to explore the world and solve puzzles. Aside from that, not much more is revealed by the teaser trailer. The game is expected to hit shelves on October 30, Popsci reported.

The awesome thing about this development is that the gaming experience, as a whole, will only get better. More developers will start to offer VR games and all that. However, the reality is that this technology is expensive. Many people do not intend to purchase a Gear VR by virtue of price alone.

The fact that the Samsung Gear VR also works for the Galaxy Note 4 and/or Galaxy S6/S6 Edge exclusively (they are not interchangeable) makes it unreachable to many avid but ultimately disinterested gamers. While you save up for a Gear VR, enjoy the game's trailer below:
