It's been a few months since Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris became Taylor Swift's boyfriend, and while the two look downright adorable together, rumor has it they might be having some trouble behind closed doors, as rumors of spending little time together and even infidelity follow them around - but if things go sour between Harris and Swift, there's one man up for the job!

Though undoubtedly there are millions of men out there who'd kill to be Taylor Swift's boyfriend, there's one college football star who's more than willing to step into Harris' shoes, and that's Ezekiel Elliott from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

According to Bleach Report, in a pretty smooth attempt to become Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Elliott recently took to Twitter to ask the singer out on a date, as she's reaching Columbus, Ohio for the week to perform at the Nationwide Arena two days in a row.

"I see your [sic] in town tonight want to grab something to eat after their concert?" asked Elliott on Twitter, mentioning the 25 year-old "Bad Blood" singer.

Hopefully, Taylor Swift's boyfriend Calvin knows exactly what he has and how easily he can lose it!

As SB Nation reports, while Swift didn't respond to Elliott's Twitter request, someone else did: Ohio State's mascot, Brutus Buckeye, who told the running back to focus on studying and football while he would "entertain our guest."

According to Big Ten Network, Elliott's attempt at becoming Taylor Swift's boyfriend is pretty new, this isn't the first time an Ohio State player takes to social media to ask another celebrity out, as quarterback Cardale Jones publicly asked UFC star Ronda Rousey out a few months back as well.

It seems like Ohio State players are taking their relationship advice from the same people!

Still, it doesn't look like Taylor Swift's boyfriend will stop being Calvin Harris anytime soon!
