Hooters restaurants generally cater to a more male clientele, but the company is trying to change that around this Mothers Day on Sunday, May 12 by offering free food to any mom's across the nation.
Moms get a free meal valued at $10 at Hooters on Sunday with drink purchase at participating locations. Dine-in only and child must be present, the restaurant chain said.
"Kids of all ages are encouraged to invite their mothers to Hooters for special treatment on Mother's Day," said Dave Henninger, chief marketing officer, Hooters of America in a company statement.
"The free entrée deal is just one way for Hooters to show its appreciation for hard-working moms and to provide a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a delicious meal with the family."
Although Hooters has offered free wings on special occasions like Mother's Day before, this is the chain's first freebie offer on a breadth of entrees, the company said. This will also bethe first year the chain has sold entree salads - which it also hopes will attract some women.
The Mother's Day deal is available at each of the more than 355 Hooters restaurant locations across the United States. Based on the tremendous response to last year's Mother's Day offer, Hooters anticipates treating more than 20,000 moms to a complimentary meal this Mother's Day.
