Ford has unveiled the addition of Mustang EcoBoost engine to their Shelby GT. The Shelby GT350R will now be powered with 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine according to the American automaker.
With the improved vehicle running at a power of 310 horsepower in addition with its improved look, Ford is trying to prove that their company can combine power, performance and style.
The new engine contains a 320 lb-ft of torque tested in a 93-octane fuel. Torque is defined as the moment of force and is the tendency of a certain force to rotate a body about an axis, fulcrum and pivot. Torque can be simply defined as the twist of an object, just like the idea of the push and pull of force.
With a twin-scroll turbocharger that separates the exhaust into two chambers which lead to the turbine, the innovative process gives the engine an extremely fast time of torque. As what Ford is claiming, their new breed of automobiles are a "marvel of power and efficiency".
In terms of other specification, the new vehicle will also offer new features such as adaptive dampers for a more intense and dynamic experience in driving. It also includes a sharper handling, a new exhaust, 20-inch wheels and more.
The brake system of the vehicle is now stronger, thanks to Brembo, the official partner of Ford specialized in brakes control and enhancement.
Joe Conway, the Co-CEO of Carrol Shelby global and CEO of Shelby American stated the effect of their Mustangs in a global scale.
"Ever since Ford announced that its terrific new Mustang would be available worldwide, requests for Shelby versions of the vehicle have rolled in from across the globe", Conway said.
People who have a Mustang EcoBoost can upgrade their vehicle to Shelby GT at a price of $23,995. Special fees will be charged accordingly if the owner wants some modification in the automobile.
