It's a movie set in the Outback heat of Australia, but it's the chemistry between 39 year-old actress Kate Winslet and younger love interest 25-year-old Aussie Liam Hemsworth that really sizzles in 'The Dressmaker.'
The 'Hunger Games' star doesn’t mind filming sex scenes, but he explains it’s not filming the sex scene itself that he doesn’t like, it’s the part after where he’s standing around in his underwear.
Liam revealed that filming sex scenes aren’t all that they’re cracked up to be, and are actually “pretty awkward!”
On his sex scenes with 'The Dressmaker' co-star Kate Winslet, Hemsworth told E! news, “It’s always pretty awkward when you have to take off your pants in front of the crew and other actors and all that stuff."
Luckily, things get better for Liam when he is in character. “During the scene, it’s fine,” he continued. “You don’t feel uncomfortable while the cameras are rolling.”
But unfortunately, when the director yells cut that’s when things get 'weird' for the actor. “As soon as it’s cut and you’re standing around in your underwear and you’re chatting to the crew and there’s guys doing stuff, that’s when it’s weird and uncomfortable,” Liam added.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 14, and received great response from critics. The film revolves around Kate’s character, Tilly.
Hemsworth plays Winslet’s lover in The Dressmaker, a 'revenge comedy drama' based on the novel of the same name by Rosalie Ham about a woman sent away from her rural town in Australia at the age of 10 because of false murder accusations.
Later in life, she becomes an expert dressmaker in Paris, and returns home to take care of her ailing mother.
Using her beautiful creations, she gets revenge on the townspeople who wrongly accused her with murder.
