The movie Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone was one of the greatest stories ever made into film and the great news is that it didn't end because it has a spin-off. MGM and Warner Bros. is about to give the public another taste of Rocky since they released their second trailer for its spin-off, 'Creed.'
This spin-off is already garnering a lot of positive feedback from critics. Variety reported the released of the trailer and in it the audience will see Sylvester Stallone again. He would reprise his character as Rocky Balboa but he won't be boxing anymore, instead he is on to mentor a new boxing protégé Adonis Creed (played by Michael B. Jordan).
Adonis is the son of his longtime ring nemesis who eventually became his friend, Apollo Creed (played by Carl Weathers). Adonis on the movie is a troubled youth trying to survive society and later on decided to follow his dad's footsteps in the boxing ring. The trailer opens with Adonis being jailed and Rocky met up with him trying to encourage him with boxing.
The storyline is deeper and offers more drama than all the other franchises that this movie released. The plot involves Adonis trying to fight for his life to live despite his chaotic past, while Rocky faces some serious health condition that he has to battle with.
The movie will be directed by Ryan Coogler who has previously worked with Jordan for 'Fruitvale Station.' The script was perfectly penned by Coogler and Aaron Covington. Tessa Thompson plays the love interest of Jordan.
It is guaranteed to bring forth action, drama and inspiration. Fans of Stallone would love his return on the silver screen doing what he does best.
Catch the official release date of 'Creed' on November 25 this year.
