Emilia Clarke has admitted that she dislikes doing sex scenes that will be shown on television. The actress who is playing the famous role of Daenerys Targaryen in the hit drama series 'Game of Thrones' is setting some boundaries for explicit scenes that she will be in to.
For the sake of her art and her career, the English actress agreed to get undressed in front of the camera many times. In the long running HBO drama Game of Thrones, the actress disrobed several times as demanded for her fictional character.
However, Emilia confessed to a Daily Mail writer that she can't stand doing them. The 28-year-old actress from London said that sex scenes should be more restrained and controlled.
'I'm British, so I cringe at that sort of thing anyway - I can't stand it,' stated the GOT actress.
Daenerys Targaryen in the most popular HBO series said that she desires to be recognized for her acting skills and not for her breasts.
'I don't want to have sex thrown in my face and I've always thought the suggestion is so much more titillating than the act itself. Most sex scenes you see in films or on TV are gratuitous and they're usually just to attract an audience," Emilia stated.
The 'Terminator Genisys' actress already told the executives about her personal perspective about the issue. Berkshire-born star was seen taking off her clothes for the drama series and breastfeeding dragons.
Playing the role of an exiled princess in the 'Game of Thrones', the actress refused to get undressed for the drama two years ago. This was also confirmed by her co-star Oona Chaplin.
Emilia Clarke's desire is to lessen her nude scenes. "On screen, the subtler the better," demands the actress.
The actress received two Emmy Award nominations for her outstanding performance in the GOT.
